1 Month Old

Here is Georgia's first month in pictures...

Georgia wasn't too sure about the feathers on her head!

6 weeks old

I went back to work when Georgia was 6-weeks old since I had used up all my vacation days and I would only have to work for 4 weeks before I was off for the summer.  It was hard going back to work but she was left in great hands!

Newborn Pictures

I had my dad take some newborn pictures of Georgia to document.  He usually takes pictures of animals and architecture, so this was definitely a challenge but he was a trooper.  She was three weeks old when we took the pictures, so she was awake most of the time.

We used this picture for her birth announcement

These baby legs barely fit her now

I love her sweet smile on this picture

She had about had it when we took this picture!

Georgia's First Easter

Georgia's first Easter was actually her initial due date.  It's crazy to think she was already two weeks old!  On Easter morning, we got ready and headed to the Petroleum Club in Fort Worth for Easter brunch with my Dad's side of my family. The food was delicious and Georgia was a perfect angel!  After brunch we went over to my mom's house for another Easter meal.  It was great to be out and about and I was able to sneak in a nap or two throughout the day!

She slept most of the time we were there!

The First Weeks Home

The first weeks home were filled with lots of visitors to meet our new addition.  My mom was wonderful about coming by everyday during her lunch break (she works 3 minutes from my house) to give me a break or bring me a treat! My stepmom, Nancy, was also great about bringing us meals and keeping our fridge stocked.  My Nana came in from Beaumont to meet her newest Great Granddaughter.  My recovery was a little rough the first week or so, but overall wasn't as hard as I thought it would be.

After our first trip to the doctor, she was so tiny!

One of my most favorite pics!

She loved her swing!

She makes this expression all of the time!

Boppy Time

Late nights with Daddy.  Georgia is wearing the first thing we
bought when we found out we were having a girl!

Welcome Home!

It was so surreal bringing Georgia home.  There were so many different emotions as we were pulling up to the house.  I was so excited but also so scared.  I didn't know what to expect, and didn't know if I was ready to be in charge of another human life.  Of course, sweet Georgia was great and besides some sleepless nights our first couple of nights home were perfect.
